Aunt Aurora's birthday was on December 4th, so anticipating a good turnout of the extended family, John and I flew out to LA for the occasion. It was a good chance for Mattson to meet his father's cousins, so he came down for the weekend from school in Santa Barbara . We were certainly impressed with all the work and preparations our cousins went through to honor their mother.
